THE TINCRAFT CONVERSION PROCESS

From your package.
To collection day.

Choose your package, arrange an appointment to plan the extras around your priorities, then secure your conversion date with a deposit. Here’s how it works.

Time in the workshop

6–8 weeks

Usual conversion time from your agreed start date. The wait for an available build slot is separate; we’ll confirm that with you when booking.

  1. Choose your package

Start with our Starter or Adventure package. Each gives you a clear starting specification. You can then discuss the finishes and extras that suit your van, your budget and the way you travel.

  2. Arrange a workshop appointment

Come and see us in Heywood to talk it through. We’ll find out what matters most to you: who’s travelling, how you’ll use the van and the space or equipment you need. We’ll help with extras, explain your options and answer your questions.

  3. Agree your build & book a date

Once you’re happy with the specification and quotation, pay your deposit to secure the agreed conversion date. We’ll confirm the deposit amount, payment details and van drop-off arrangements before you book.

  4. Your conversion begins

Bring your van to the workshop for the agreed start date. Conversions usually take 6–8 weeks, depending on the specification and equipment. We’ll discuss the expected turnaround for your build and any changes that could affect its cost or timing.

  5. Collection day

As your conversion nears completion, we’ll confirm your collection day. At handover, we’ll show you around the finished camper, explain how the equipment works and answer your remaining questions before you head off.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

A few useful answers.

Not sure which package to choose?

Start with the package closest to what you need. At your appointment, we’ll talk through your priorities and help you decide which package and extras make sense for you.

What should I have ready for the appointment?

Your van’s make, model, year and wheelbase, if you have them. Think about who will travel with you, your budget, the trips you want to take and what you need to carry. Bring any questions or ideas you’d like to discuss.

How much is the deposit?

We’ll confirm the deposit amount and payment arrangements with your quotation before you book your conversion date.

Do I need to use the Build planner first?

The planner is optional. It can help you explore finishes and equipment, but you can come to your appointment with a package in mind and talk through everything else with us.

IN HOUSE FABRICATION

From drawing to cutting.

We design and fabricate products in our Heywood workshop. These photographs show a panel layout and the Tincraft CNC machine.

Our latest development is Tincraft’s own electric pop-top, designed and manufactured in-house. The first installation is complete.
